Our Process

MaxAgility begins the agile leadership transformation process by assessing the current state of the organization and its Agile teams. This foundational step includes understanding the existing knowledge, practices, and culture, laying the groundwork for the Agile Transformation Framework (ATF) and Agile Mentoring
Program (AMP). The goal is to create a company culture where Agile principles are deeply ingrained, setting the stage for the following phases:

Phase 1 - Partnered Transition

In the Partnered Transition phase, MaxAgility’s Agile Consultants work closely with the client to initiate the Agile journey. Emphasizing “being Agile” the focus is on training organization leaders, and changing a company’s culture to increase knowledge sharing, and mastering Agile frameworks like Scrum or Kanban

Phase 2 - Self-Organization

The Self-Organization phase emphasizes “Changing Mindset.” MaxAgility introduces the Psychological Safety Check (PSC) program and continues the “train the trainer” approach through AMP. This phase nurtures a culture of continuous learning and improvement, ensuring that Agile practices become deeply ingrained in the organization’s culture.

Phase 3 - Innate Agility

In the Innate Agility phase, organizations embrace Agility as the default approach, assuming that projects will be executed using Agile leadership and frameworks. This phase is reached when 75% of leadership’s psychological safety level is achieved in the PSC, demonstrating a high-trust environment where autonomy and innovation are optimized.

We founded our company with a vision to transform the way organizations approach Agile transformations. With a track record of leading and supporting Agile Transformations for renowned companies including NASDAQ, BP, Chevron, Wells Fargo, Fidelity, Citizens Bank, Discover, CapitalOne, Prudential, Cisco, Symantec, National Grid, Lowe’s, Disney, and IMAGE Studios, we identified the common pitfalls and challenges that often led to the premature end of transformations. These challenges often included the withdrawal of funding, leadership declaring “Agile doesn’t work for us,” or the misconception that the organization was “Agile enough.” Determined to “stop the insanity” by focusing not just on “doing Agile” but on “being Agile,” we emphasized the importance of mindset change over mere implementation of mechanics.
